Default wrongfull dismissal

On saturday 7/8/06 i was terminated from my job of almost 9yrs at my former place of employment we have 3 levels of disciplinary action (verbal, written, decision making day) I had a d-day on file that was 10 mos old our company has been in the news alot over associates workin off thee clock and lost a lot of lawsuits over this so much that they are enforcing when you go to lunch and if its not on time you will be coached well my lunch was 2 mins late on wed 7/5/06 because i was working with a customer i was in retail and because of my d-day i was terminated my question is this i found out friday 7/7/06 that the mgmt name on the coaching was not the name of the manager who actually did the coaching so would that document therefore be considered void or not? seems to me it would be my store manager said it doesnt make a difference whose name is on it. who is right ?

I am assuming you are an at will employee and can be terminated for almost any reason short of some discriminatory one. I'm going to say that it does not matter what manager's name is on the document you are talking about. I am not familiar with "coaching document" but don't think it matters to you whose name is on it.
