I am a 2nd year apprentice and have recenyly been terminated from my job for excessive absenteeism. Now because the nature of my trade is insulation we are required to fill out a daily log book. My Union also put me on suspention until marh 18. After going through my log book i found that I had called in 4 days in 2008. I dont think that 4 days is excessive. I showed my apprentice ship cord. this information and he stated that there was nothing he could do for me because my superintendant sits on the joint apprenticship committee, which i now know that the j.a.c. are the ones that gave him the position. Isnt the union suppose to help me in these situations?
