I have read that there are exceptions to At-will Employment Terminations: The one that I am most concerned with is Not Following Own Termination Procedures. I was terminated without the company following there Progressive Discipline Policy that is stated in the Employee Handbook. I am a member of a Union also and we do have a contract. Also this termination decisions is not consistent with other incedents which were far more severe then mine. I also have documention from the company that admits that they didn't have supervision in my department. My question is do I have a case for wrongful termination? This is something your union is going to have to advise you on. It doesn’t sound like they’ve broken any law. You may have rights protected in your MOU between your union and your employer, which is why you need to contact them.
