Default Slander from employer

I report a work related injury carpal tunnel and now my employer has went and made up a story stating that we had a conversation and I told them it was not work related injury I am so mad I have been employed with this company for 22 years and for them to do this to me I need some tips because I plan on fighting them on this issue and winning because I want my good name back and I don`t deserve this kind of treatment

Question

Who did your employer tell this to? Do the people he told believe his version or yours?

Talking
