false accusations by co-worker
i started a new job in may at a local hospital. i had previously worked in the same field at another hospital for 3 years. my boss had me train with a co-worker for about 5-6 weeks or so, then suddenly i was called into my boss's office and apparently this co-worker had been telling her things that weren't true, such as i was having problems using the computer, wasn't filing paperwork correctly, etc., etc. my boss at the time totally believed her, but fortuately my other co-workers and even RN's that I work with came to bat for me and told her that none of these things were true, that I was doing an excellent job. My boss switched me to train with other people, and I have now completed my training. Lately, this same co-worker has been at it again, telling my boss about mistakes being made, even though it wasn't me that made them. My boss again apparently believes her. The other day when i came into work, this co-worker was ending her shift and i was taking over for the next shift. she pointed out 2 different orders that weren't done properly, which she just assumed that i had done, and when i pointed out that someone else had done those orders, she didn't say a word. i think that she finds mistakes that either her or others may have done and has been blaming them on me. of course i do make mistakes, everyone does, but if i did i will admit to them. she also writes notes and leaves them for me, telling me i did this or that wrong, and she does this type of thing with other people too, not just me. needless to say, she has no friends there. i'm just worried that if she continues to make these false accusations to my boss, i could eventually get fired. i don't know why by boss believes her everytime, because she finds out later that she has lied. unfortnately because of my shift/days, etc., i have to see her more often than my co-workers. i have found mistakes that she has made too, but i don't run to the boss when i find them. sorry so long, just frustrated cause i really like this job and don't want someone lies to screw it up.
