Any ideas on this one...
I work for a company who pays a large portion of our health insurance premium. If we do not take advantage of the health care insurance we receive a $2.00-3.00 bump in pay per hour, because they are not out the money to help insure us. Until our insurance kicks in we receive this extra bump in pay, but once our insurance kicks in we drop back to the original rate of pay. My employer failed to remove the extra bump in pay each payperiod (FOR THE COURSE OF A YEAR!) and is now charging me back for a approximately a year to the tune of approximately $4500.00. So here inlies my question...is this leagal? And if not what would be my best course of action to remedy this problem? Thanks for your input... --Sha |
