Please Help, Not Much Time

Hello, I'm new to this site. Nice to be here. Try to make this short. I worked for a company for 2 years, was a model employee, fell twice at work, they claimed liability, I had witnesses and filled out incident reports. Went to their WC doctors, 5 doctors, 2 MRI's and 2 radiologists said I had meniscul tear in left knee. Had physical therapy, shots, etc. and continued to get worse. Had surgery and that doctor said I did not have meniscul tear. Went to IME and before he even checked me he said that the reason my WC benefits stopped was because they all believed I had arthritis. I have never had arthritis except in my lower back do to childhood injury. He looked in my ears, eye's and throat and bent my legs and that was it!! His report said I was at MMI and Total Impairment was 0 and I had pre-existing arthritis. Told my attorney this and he said the problem with this whole case was that I didn't have enough funds, even though he took this as contingency. He then sent me a letter of withdrawal. He never even asked me if I could get the money for another IME, I would have borrowed it (this is a whole other post!) I am much worse, and have contacted about 15 lawyers and no one wants this case because it's gone too far and because I have already seen an IME. Even though he did not go by the guidelines and lied in his report, lawyers said it is almost impossible to overturn an IME report, even if it's bogus. They also told me that it's not WORTH ENOUGH MONEY!!! They know he did not follow guidelines for pre-existing condition, and he said he gave me a breast exam which no male doctor would do because I won't let them because of childhood abuse. He also said that I told him my father had all these illnessess, and I DON'T KNOW MY FATHER!!
What can I do? Where can I find an attorney that wants to ACTUALLY WORK AND IS NOT ALL ABOUT MILLIONS OF DOLLARS??? Where is the justice in this country?? And why is this IME GOD!!!

Please help!! And I will post about what my attorney has done too in another forum.

Thanks.

Ah, the preexisting condition.

Have a friend that is going through this. He was born with a club foot, had thirteen surgeries to repair it. Worked for thirty years without incident with the "repaired" foot (nothing wrong with his leg, just repaired ankle and foot). Worked for the city doing hard physical work, on his feet all day, no problem for all those years. He sustained nerve damage to his leg getting out of a lift (cherry picker?) from a crush injury of the gate on the lift and they tried to say it was preexisting because it was on the same side of his body as his FOOT that had been repaired thirty years earlier--although he had done hard physically demanding work for so many years with the foot as it was. It took literally years, but I'm very proud to say he won his case and I was happy to be a part of his victory. But it was a roller coaster ride of not only the pain of the injury, but also the ups and downs of workman's comp.

There is no way you are going to negotiate this labyrinth of legal melee without a lawyer. You can go to the other part of LEGALMATCH and post your request to find an attorney and see if any respond. This is just a discussion board---you cannot retain counsel on a message board. If you want to try to hire a lawyer try the other part of LEGALMATCH.COM.

Good luck.

Finding a lawyer on LegalMatch

I'll sure try, but everyone I've talked to says "you definately have a case, keep trying", but they don't want it.

Have you actually talked personally with a lawyer on LEGALMATCH?

Have you tried legal aid ( free or low cost services)?

I can't get into LegalMatch lawyers site, I've been trying for two days!! It keeps saying my log-in name is wrong, and then when I put in my e-mail address so they can send me "whatever they think it is", it also says my E-MAIL is wrong.

Legal Aid in this state hardly takes any cases, and they certainly won't fight much for you.

Tried calling the 1-866 number for this site, but all you get are recordings, so don't know what else to do, there's no e-mail address.
