Temporary Partial Benefits

I was hurt on the job. The physician put me on light duty. I am not getting the full 40 hours per week that I was working before the injury do to lack of work available. Am I entitled to any benefits? I am in the state of maryland. I have surgery scheduled next week at which point I will not be allowed to return to work. My employeer has hired someone to do what little work I was doing, so now there will be no light duty work for me. I filled out a wage and earning statement paper and faxed that as well as recent paystubs. What happens now?

Is workmans comp involved in this? did you make a claim with them? You state the physician put you on "light duty"--is this YOUR doctor, or the workmans comp doctor?
