If you are asking what I think you are asking, workers comp hires these case workers to not only handle your case with your best interest in mind, but also to make sure you aren't faking it. Workers comp does not show up at your door and neither does your doctor but these case workers come to your house to organize your care, to make sure that things in your home is not a detriment to your health etc. For instance, the home we were living in when my ex husband became paralyzed was a 2 story 100 year old farmhouse and there was no way we could get him upstairs into the bedroom or bathroom. The case worker was workers comp's eyes and ears. They arranged for a caregiver, a portable shower, a hospital bed to be put in the living room of our home AND helped so that we could get the money they we would have used to remodel the house (which we could not do) and use it to eventually build our handicapped accessible home. I cannot say enough good about case workers. Now if someone is not really sick or injured enough to not be at work then they will report this too and to me this is a good thing because there are people out there who will fake the pain they are in just to not have to work.
