Default UK: Visa Waiver Problem

Hi there,

I came over from the UK on the 17th of December 2005, as a tourist on a Visa Waiver from UK. Landing in Nashville, TN, and now in Atlanta, GA.

Since arriving here, I have realised that to make the trip that I was originally planning, will take longer than the remaining days left on my 90 day Visa Waiver.

After researching on the USCIS website, I've found that the 90 day Visa Waiver, is non-extendable. But that a Visa is.

If I wanted to remain in the US to continue my travels as a tourist, do I have to go back home and request a new Visa, or can I leave the country (say to Canada, as I was planning to anyway) and apply for a new Visa there?

Also, how long would that be likely to take?

Or is there some other way over working around this problem without having to leave the country?

Also, during my stay here I have encountered a new company, which are interested in employing me due to my unique experience in a specific field. Is there anyway that I could work this to my advantage?

Any help that you could possibly give me on this issue would be greatly appreciated,

Kindest Regards,

A.W.
