Non disclosure laws in Illinois

Hi. Recently bought a house. 12 hours after moving in and turning on AC it leaked onto carpet under hot water tank .. Whole utility closet. I discovered a plastic container was under the unit filled with mold and water that was overflown catching a drip. The seller placed the container to catch the water and there was black mold under unit. She had to place it thru the wall vent to reach that spot.

I had to replace the AC due to mold damage to coils and huge drip pan hole that was repaired so many times before that it couldn't be. Cost over $6000. I sent email to my realtor who addressed it with the sellers realtor... No response. I have sent certified letters as well as pictures.

Should she be responsible? Where do I find the stated law in Illinois to review before finding a lawyer for the next step? Do I even have a case? My home insurance spoke to a lawyer and said yes but I would like to read the law myself before paying out money for a lawyer.

Thanks in advance
