Thumbs down Want Ring Back!

My now ex fiancee is refusing to give back the ring after she called off the wedding and ran off with her personal trainer. What can I do to get the ring back?

Talking Return of the Ring

Laws in this area differ from state to state.

The first view is that the gift of the ring is conditioned upon the actual marriage. Thus if there is no marriage then there has been no gift of the ring. But remember that states also take into consideration the basis of fault. If the ring recipient is the one who breaks off the engagement then they must return the ring but if it is the gift giver that breaks off the engagement then the ring is not required to be returned.

Check your state to determine what law applies to your situation.

If you live in a fault state than that would be good for you since your fiancee called off the engagement.
