Default ralphs loss prevention attacked me

i was attacked and beaten by ralphs supermarket security they grabbed me outside of the store, i had taken nothing. they did not identify themselves nor did they say anything to me before they grabbed me, and kicked my leg out from under me then kicked me in the ribs and when i shook them off they tackled me, i again shook them off of me and tried to get away from my attackers they again tackled me and kicked me several times before the police arrived and handcuffed me. but not before i was pinned down onto the blistering hot black top by their boots. i was subsequently burned and blistered on several places on my body. i suffered a broken wrist, a slight concussion, a broken rib and several cuts and bruises all over my body. i was later released and was told that i supposedly stole a sub sandwich and a rootbeer. the manager then told them that they don't even prosecute for something as small as that. it had to be $25 or more. needless to say i had absolutley no merchandise of ralphs supermarket on me. i had $30 in my pocket and change. can i sue them for assault, exessive force, ect. what are my rights
