Hello,
Wanted some ideas on how to handle medical expenses that were denied by the rest's insurance company concerning the xray/medical examination charges after eating a fish dish. There was a hard object that cut my throat. The rest. staff gave me the insurance company info and I filed a claim which was rejected. I plan to request a full denial letter from them and appeal the claim. Then take them to small claims court if denied since the charges are under $2000. Thank You! |

There is not much you can do. Cases like these are extremely difficult to prove and I don't know what your chances in court will be.
If insurance company has an appeal process follow through with that. Then it might be beneficial to get an attorney involved to write a demand letter to insurance company and restaurant. They might decide to settle out of fear. If that doesn't work then you can take them to small claims. Again, cases like these are hard to prove and chances of prevailing are not that great. |
