Default I Was Framed

could someone tell me if i have a case and what to expect for settlement?

i did some side work for this guy and when i finished he said to meet him back at his office which was being remodled at 9:00 pm to pay me. i was there and waited till 9:20 then went to the store and called him on his cell and he said he would be right there to pay me.we both pulled up at the same time and he asked if i would come in and help him move some tools to the front room then he would pay me. i did so and when i got the tools up front he went over and kicked out the boarded up window then started yelling that i was robbing him.he attacked me and struck me about ten times knocke me down and i fell on the tools.he started kicking me then the police showed up aand he told them when he got there i was inside robbing him. the police handcuffed me then took statements from everyone and said there was to many discrepencies in there stories plus they checked his cell and did find out i called him 10 min befor the cops got there so they let me go.i asked about filing assault charges and they said i should just leave and be lucky im not going to jail.i went to the hospital and have a concussion and broken rib.

I would definately sue this guy for all medical expenses, out of pocket losses and maybe even a little pain and suffering. If this amount is not too much you may have to file in small claims court.
