Default facelift gone wrong

I am devasted, and don't know where to BEGIN to get help!

4 months ago I had a facelift. My face is very assymetrical looking with one side pulled much tighter than the other. Also that side has facial nerve damage so that my lips, nostril and eyebrow on that side are not working properly and are distorted somewhat. The OTHER side there is a sizeable lump on my jaw. My eyes were done also and they are not rejuvenated....as these procedures claim. I have been severly depressed these four months and am embarrased for my own family to look at me.

My question....how do I get my money back? If I'd paid for any other service like tailoring, etc. I'd be demanding my money back! Or...do I have to sue this doctor? I'm too afraid of any surgery for "revisions", at this point, especially by the surgeon who did this to me, and he was just in TOP DOCS in San Antonio. (These plastic surgeons in TEXAS want to "protect" each other, instead of helping patients, so I'm finding it hard to even get a second opinion!) Two have already told me that "don't want to get involved"!

Do I write a letter to my surgeon? or....to his medical malpractice insurance ? Where do I get that info? WHERE do I BEGIN?

Please help. I'm so sad, tired of crying, and my family is sick of it too. I don't know either HOW to find a lawyer who is good/respected. All the malpractice ads on tv are so sleezy. I don't want a CLOWN for an attorney. HOW do I know I'm getting someone that is right for the job?

You will need to sue this doctor unless he agrees to refund your money which is highly unlikely. Try posting your case at www.legalmatch.com. If you don't get a response contact the state bar association or county bar association for a direct referral. Good luck.

Drawing up a letter yourself, is usually ignored by a doctor, because he doesn't expect the threat to be carried out. Hiring an attorney and having him draft the letter, can result in a settlement without court, which is quicker and easier, and puts the doctor on notice that you are serious. So, find an attorney and present the case.
