assaulted in bar parking lot
I recently went out to a local bar with my mother after being cooped up in the house for 8 weeks with a humeral fracture. As we were leaving, a female ran up to my mother's car window, latched on to her hair and began punching her in the face. Although my arm was broken I felt the need to try and stop this since security wasn't doing thier job. I jumped out of the car, grabbed the girl and tried to pull her apart from my mother. As I did this I noticed another female charging towards me. Before she got close enough to touch me I informed her that my arm was broken, but she said she didn't care and proceeded to push me up against the hood of the car with all of her body weight, which crushed my arm into pieces once again. After she had let me up, she punched me in the forehead and mouth. I called the police and they treated it as your usual bar fight. They didn't question any witnessses and told me if I wanted to press charges we would all be going to jail that night because they don't know what happened due to the fact that they did not question people who were there. I have 9 days to press charges and I'm not sure how strong of a case I have. I would like to see some form of criminal punishment for the female who assaulted me as well as compensation for my medical bills, loss of wages and what it costs me to drive 90 miles round trip to get medical care. I would like to add that while my mother and both females were intoxicated, I was not.Somebody please help. I need advice quick so I can get the ball rolling.
