an friend of an associate of mines was helping me move some stuff around the side of my house, which is kind of sloppy and well maintained (grass cut, no bushes, etc). I went away for minute, while they were going around the back yard along the slope (around side if house). The friend of my associate fell and broke his ankle, i didn't know he didn't have insurance. We called ambulence and they took him to hospital. A couple weeks later he called me wanted to meet with me. I met with him and called my insurance company, they talked to me and him, and concluded that it was not my fault, it was an accident and I didnt do anything wrong to cause the accident. they were going to offer him 2000.00 for medical expenses, which is not enough to cover his medical bills. I called the insurance guy and he said the guys said he has a lawyer now. The insurance agents said he been trying to get the lawyer to send formal paperwork over, but they don't send anything. The guy didn't have his own medical insurance. What can happen in this case if it goes to court?

If a homeowner is sued by a guest who is injured on their property the guest would have to show that the homeowner either failed to notify them of a potential danger or was negligent in the upkeep of the property causing the property to be dangerous.
