assault on a minor
I made a dumb decision today and got into a fight with a minor(17). I myself am 18. He did throw the first punch, and there are witnesses who can collaborate that. However he did not hit me. I ducked his punch at hit him once.... just once. I'm not positive, but I'd be willing to say he has a broken nose. If he was to go to the police about this, could I be charged with assault and battery on a minor? I expect to be liable for medical bills if there are any, but I was in the act of self defense. Could I still be charged?
