what to do?

i don't want know what to do. i have a friend that wants to get married but i'm scared, what is really involved in all of this? is there another way besides marrying someone, do they investigate your living conditions activities? help!!!

You state that a friend wants to get married and not a boy/girlfriend. If this individual wants you to marry just so he/she can obtain a green card I would not do it. This is considered fraud and you can get in trouble with the U.S. Government for doing this.

You will have to prove that your only reason for marrying was not to get the green card. You will have to go through interviews etc. to prove that you have a legitimate marriage.
