Default Escrow Overages
I have an overage in my escrow account. The motgage co. won't release it because I'm behind in payments. If the overage was applied to the loan I would be curent again. Can they legally withhold the overage?

Ask the attorney who did your closing. He or she will be able to best advise you as to the particulars of the laws in your state.
