Mortgage type change 2
I found out today that I actually did have an FHA mortgage complete with all the neccessary numbers. I also found that my mortgage co never signed the endorsement to insure the loan so FHA returned the mortgage premiums after the alloted time frame. FHA stated that we should have gotten a full refund and we should have received a regiseterd or certified letter stating we were be reverted to conventional. Neither of these things were done. When I fell behind (I got sick have MS) I called FHA for assistance and was told they couldn't do anything for me because my loan was not insured. I called for conventional assistance and was denied, even though my dafault was the result of illness and met there guidelines, because I had a FHA loan number. I was in limbo because the mortgage company failed to process my loan completely. Do I have any recourse?
Secondly, the payment that was returned NSF in Jan 13, 2006 was replaced via Western Union for the full amount plus fees on Jan 17, 2006 and regular Feb payment made on time as required. To date I still have no written explanation as to why my mortgage payments were reversed. I made my Jan 2008 mtg payment and check was cashed and credited to my account. The settlement documents and questions regarding my loan were forwarded to the research dept on 1/16/08 and the reversals occured 1/17/08. Just strange that these things occured when I had the audacity to ask a valid question. I have rec'd no explantion as to the research investigation or why my payments were reversed and my loan was forwarded for litigation.
