| is there a case for a life that could have been saved? my son past away 3 years agoin virginia... they say he was pronounced brain dead do to swelling of his brain brought about by hypo-nuetrimeia to the point that his cerebral column was snapped from the pressure. yet a medical procedure referred to as a "stent" or stint... a drilling of a hole in the skull to relieve cranial pressure, that could have inevitably saved his life, was not performed. the whole point though is that the child was in the hospital with his condition heading progressively south since 2PM in the afternoon...they did not pronounce him to be legally brain dead till 12:05 midnight the next morning. so there was more than adequate time for these individuals to try something other than stand around twiddling their thumbs and watching the monitors. this children's hospital received my son at 4PM as a medical he-lo transfer from d-Paul hospital who actually took down his personal information and mis-logged it with his name's initils as "MD" instead of "Lmd"...had there really been a diff child named "MD" with necessary med prescribed that my son may have had allergies to, then they could have added to the transpiring event with aniphalactic shock..
