Satellite on the roof

I live in an apartment complex and I had a satellite dish installed on the roof two years ago because I do not have the correct south facing direction to put the dish on the balcony. The Apartment complex disputed the attachment to the roof then, but eventually agreed to the installation since we were told upon looking at the apartment that we could have a satellite dish. The ownership of the Apartment complex changed and two years later, they want to remove the dish off of the roof. According to them, there is an addededum in the lease, but I never signed this addendum at my lease renewal, two days ago. Can they remove my dish? After two years is there not a grandfather for the dish and can I recover damage for breech of contract?

It seems like the satellite placement is done by the permission of the owners. I’m not a lawyer, but I suspect the new owners can revoke this permission, if it is not spelled out in writing.
