Is there any type of law that can assist undocumented families to become legal residents, if they have a child with developmental disabilites?

Are you asking if illegals can use their disabled child to gain legal entry to the United States?

Yes. Many countries don't offer the medical assistance or support that the United States offers for children with autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation.... So I was just wondering if there is some type of law that would allow them to remain in the USA so their children would be able to gain access to these resources.

I have an autistic child, and he doesn't even get this medical assistance and support of which you speak---so no, I cannot imagine a disabled child being a ticket into the United States. Those of us who live here legally aren't even entitled to these services without a great deal of money or a great personal insurance plan. If this were possible, everyone across the world with a special needs child would be flocking here for free medical care, etc. with the presumption they get to bypass legal immigration processes because they have a needy child.

I will be the first to admit, I may be wrong in this reply, but I do not think that a disabled child is a "free ticket" into the US. Free health care is not a Constitutionally protected right.
