Approximately three months ago, my live-in girlfriend of 2-1/2 years left me to move in with a guy she's been cheating with online for three months or so before the breakup.
I have been experiencing *severe* depression/weight loss/insomnia/potential repremands at work for not being able to focus/etc. etc. - been seeing a therapist but so far it hasn't helped, and I'm at my wit's end. Can I sue the guy who she's with for Emotional Distress? Since she and I weren't married, I don't think an Alienatrion of Affection lawsuit would apply, but I could be wrong. I've been through some rough breakups before, but nothing ever even *remotely* close to the constant mental anguish and agony that this situation has caused. Advice? |
