| emancipation at 16 in CA I'm a 16 year old female, graduating in 2010 (one year early to begin college) with a custodial parent that is constantly critical and negative. Both my mother and non-custodial father have repeatedly made harrassing phone calls and called the police on an older male friend of mine who had done nothing illegal, and threatened to get a restraining order because they didn't like the fact that we were speaking to each other against their will. The tyranny is escalating, and I need to get out of the house. I'm starting a full-time job in one week, have a 4.2 GPA, and am a well-rounded individual with a clean record. My question is, how likely am I to be able to be emancipated? |
