Question Domestic Violence

My mom was in a bad relationship and her husband beat her up soo bad. We lived in Texas at the time and she couldn't get away from him so we moved to Wisconsin where she was born to try to get rid of him but he followed. One day he got really mad and tried to kill her and he is in prison now but I am still afraid. He said he wasn't finished and he means it I know when he gets out this will start all over again. I can't live a normal life I am constantly worrying has he sent someone here. My mom can't taste or smell every again because of the injury from him and I am also worrying about her because so many things could happen to her. Is there anything I can do about this because I am now going to start therapy.

I would go to the authorities and inform them of his impending release and serve him with a no contact order / restraining order.

A piece of paper cannot save your life but it is an important step in sending him back to jail if he violates it. I would also consider a personal weapon and or self defense.

Therapy is a great start to living without fear. Good luck.
