Need another lawyer??

Divorce hearing was 1/11, my attorney was supposed to file the papers for child support ( so that I would able to receive it), he didn't. Instead, my ex's lawyer filed the papers, and put the wrong date on it, costing me 2 weeks worth of child support. My lawyer has still not fixed the problem. The ex forged my name on our taxes and on a money order he was supposed to give me for support (5 months ago). My lawyer has failed to do anything legally to fix any of this. I've sent my lawyer numerous letters, he has sent letters to the ex's lawyer. The ex accused me of not letting him see the kids ( he has not made any contact with the children in 5 months), his lawyer threatened to take my kids away. Now, I'm still waiting for $600 that the ex owes me, and my lawyer wants another $465. Any advice??

Get another attorney and when the dust settles, then check with the state bar association about how to file complaints. And, another thing a great attorney friend of mine, who happens to be the attorney in Texas who won the 35 million lawsuit against Ford Motor Company for the faulty relay switch that had been causing Fords to catch on fire, suggested was to make a call your local ombudsman, which is where I am heading with one of my own cases.
