My sister is executor of our parent's estate and it taking advantage of it. They had the estate auction and was told that they needed to stay at the house because of everything that was there. She and her husband live in a rental house not that far away from the house. My other sister and her husband live right next door to dad's property house. My question is, just because she is executor, does that mean that they have to live at the house until it gets sold? My other sister who lives right next door can go over there all the time and see if everything is okay. My sister who is the executor has already been doing some unfair things with my and my siblings.
Just want to hear from someone who might have had almost the same experience. And what do you think about getting a family laywer involved? I know that it would take a lot of money from the estate but to my wife, it would be worth it to just get her out of the house and back into her own house. I know that the house doesn't have to be lived in to be for sale. I have seen many homes stay empty until the house is sold. Just hope that I can find someone on my side. Hope to hear very soon. |
