Default Grandparent's Rights

I have a 7 year old granddaughter and a 4 year old grandson who have visited with me every other weekend for the past 3 years and on some occasions when their mother wasn't in their lives I had them just about every weekend. My daughter decided that she wanted custody of the children - filed for emergency custody and the children's father answer and they ended up in court on January 30, 2007 - temporary custody was given to the children's father (he had them up until December 11, 2006 when my daughter took them - there was a request for investigation filed by my granddaughters school with DSS and investigation was supposedly underway). When social services came to my daughter's house to investigate her living conditions for the children she was told that the school investigation was because my 7 year old granddaughter had said that her father was waking her up at night putting her in his bed. There was an incident (I didn't know about till a week later) where my granddaughter complained that she hurt down there and she had some yellow crusty stuff - my daughter thought she had a yeast infection - never thinking that there be something wrong as she didn't know about the complaint logged with social services until 3 weeks later, the social worker said they had been trying to get in touch with the children's father but had been unable to - this case was dropped and never mentioned again - I want to know why something further was not done and why social services would tell something like that - the judge can't hear it because nothing was proven and my granddaughter was sent back to live with her father - that has just eaten my soul. No thorough investigation was done and that just makes me sick. My daughter transferred school for the 7 year old and the 4 year old is disabled - was in a special school but my daughter was referred to a different program by a counselor and I encouraged her to enroll my grandson in that program - she chose not to and allowed the child to sit at home with her unemployed live in boyfriend. The judge was angry and I can't say that I blame her but when I was talking to the judge she asked where the 4 year was staying while my daughter worked and I told her at home with the unemployed boyfriend - never did I get the opportunity to say that I did not agree with that situation and I had encouraged my daughter to get an attorney - which she did not do. Social services encouraged her to enroll the 4 year in some type of program or the judge would be upset and she was was. I don't like my daughter's live in boyfriend never have - she has a child with this person and I don't know the child that she has with this person (she has been basically raised by his parents and I haven't been around her). I went to court to try and help my daughter but it seems in doing so I have ruined the relationship with the children's father - he won't allow me to see the children and my daughter has gotten angry because I told her that she needs to get rid of the useless baggage that she lives with and go on with her life. Now no one will let me see the grandbabies. I love those children and its not a good place to be in when you can't see the children that you love. Can I go to court when permanent custody in April is awarded and just ask the judge to allow one weekend per month and a week of the summer for my visitation or what can I do? I don't have unlimited funds - I have been buying clothes for the children - coats, whatever they needed I have bought so they didn't do without. What suggestions do you have? Help please!!!!
