Legal category HELP
What category does it fall under for someone who wishes to sue Child Protective Services (CPS) for violation of both state and federal laws? Is this Family Law or Civil Law or something else entirely? My family has been through hell with CPS in our state and we know that CPS violated the law on several occasions. We wish to file suit, but we don't know what type of attorney to hire. Any help in this would be appreciated.

It may be possible that either a Family Law Attorney or a Civil Law Attorney may take the case. Remember that CPS is most likely a state run agency and there are special rules for suing state/governmental agencies. Look into it.
