Default New Marriage & Wills

I've lived with my husband for 10 years before we got married, we have now been married for 1 year. Everything that we have we built together. Before we married, about 4 years ago, we made wills. He has 3 grown children, in the will he left me 1/4 of everything. But, I want to know if that will is still legal, or due to our marriage, is everything 1/2 mine anyway? He told me that now he wants me to get 1/2 of everything then his 3 kids can split the other half. But, now that we are married what is really legal, would everything that we built together go to me or would I have to 1/4 it with the 3 kids, We built this together, not with his kids. We plan on a new will, but, I was just wondering what my rights are at this point.

You really need to get on a new will immediatly - the old will I would almost bet would still be good if the kids really wanted to contest it. You need to check with your states laws also on spouses rights
