My sister-in-law had a deposition for my husband's dad's estate. There are many things that she is not doing that her dad asked her to do. She and her sister had life insurance policies to split with the siblings per the dad. The one sister-in-law is the executrix of the will and is not following what their dad instructed her to do. She received a $17,000+ life insurance policy that was to be distributed between the siblings. She said that she was going to keep the money for herself. That is her right because only her name is on the policy. Their dad didn't put it in writing for that to be done. She is now living in the estate which is not necessary since one of the sister's lives right next door. "C" could have continued to live in the rental until the estate was settled and the money passed out to the siblings. Shouldn't she be paying rent to the estate for staying there? There are many other questions and go unanswered but these are just a few. Would like to have an answer as soon as possible. By the way, this is all happening in Indiana.
Thanks, Judy |
