Manager Sexual Harassment

I was the manager in a company and engaged in a consensual sexual relationship with my secretary. After a year, with no apparent change in our relationship, she filed a sexual harassment claim against me.

I was subsequently terminated from my employment for sexual harassment even though our relationship had been consensual.

Are there any recourses for me?

You had the position of authority, she didn’t. I’m sorry to say, but this was a bad idea from the start.

If she felt she had to comply or lose her job, she has the right to file the claim.

The employer has the right to terminate you even if what they believe is untrue. Their obligation is to stop the unwanted behavior.

”Are there any recourses for me?”

I can’t see any other than to look for new employment.
