Sexual Discrimination Question

Can a lawyer find out the settlement dollar amount from another case if there was a Gag order?

and how do they calculate the $$ amount if this is the 3rd case of this in the last 6yrs in
the same building. The first 2 girls had settlements with gag orders on them.
The 3rd has filed a complaint with the EEOC. Plus now this week they are screwing girl #2 whom
already settled 3+ years ago, over $3,200 she is owed.....So now she is filing a complaint with the
EEOC.
The first 2 girls were dealing with a different groups of males than the 3rd girl, but in the same building.

I have no idea what you are asking.

If you are trying to access public information, go to the court house and ask them how to find the information or how to make a request under FOIA. (Freedom of Information Act)

If it is private information, you are not entitled to know this.

Does this information pertain to you or are you just curious?

My wife is going to sue her work for Sexual Harassment/Discrimination. There have been two other instances of this in the last 6yrs in the office. Both of the other girls cases were settled..so how do they calculate the dollar amount for these a-holes to pay to get them to stop.....

No one here can tell you that.

I am not sure from whence this assumption is being made.

I am not sure that is the case---what gives you that idea? Surely your attorney can calculate what amount he feels you should be suing for.

Harrassment, sexual or not, is a problem that can only be tried on the individual merits of the case. There is NOTHING additive about these cases unless there is a class action or group suit. Nothing you have said indicates that your wife is invested in any other suit nor is anyone invested in her situation. She has to prove her case. While she can use other cases to influence the court or the jury into seeing these folks as creating an inappropriate workplace... not necessarily hostile... she still has to put on a case.

The issues must be there and provable to win a judgement.

ok Here is my wife typing story:

My bosses have done nothing but break my contract since February 9th 2009. I have put 4 grievances in on this. After my 4th grievance, I was discharged without any write ups and I have never been written up in the 8 yrs that I have been there. There have been two other girls leave for the same reasons in the past 4 yrs. I have filed a complaint with the EEOC and am waiting for the investigation information with that. The man from EEOC very much indicated that I have a case, and the lawyers said the same. The lawyers will not discuss anything until I get my permission to sue letter from EEOC but are more than willing to take my case as soon as I do. I have documented things for the past 1 1/2yrs the of harassment. My one boss has been threatening my job for that long. It seemed to be idol threats at the time. One of my grievances are on discrimination and harassment and I believe that had a lot to do with it. Now, they have the janitor doing all the secretaries duties and have him training to do the bookkeeping job. I've had my union rep involved, although she hasn't completed my very first grievance as of yet. I asked for representation on the day I was discharged, my boss continued to discharge me even though I tried to stop him 2 times to get my rep on the phone. He finished and then called her. I believe that breaks the weingarten rule. My rep is telling me that I am wrong. I don't believe I have the best rep in my corner. Now, they are withholding money owed to the previous lady that sued and won. It just never ends with these people. I work at a Local union hall, and I have been treated like I work at Walmart. They have cut my hours from 35hrs per week to 10hrs per week. They have taken my work away from me and this is all contractual issues. I was just wondering if you think I have a case and how good is it. Thanks
