Wrongful termination...?

I have recently been terminated - as well as my fellow 2 employees - from a Hollywood Bar/night club, where we have been working at in West Hollywood for over 8 years.

The bar recently got sold to new owners, and they have fired us - the people with the most seniority - we assume in lieu of young busty blondes - yet they have kept on about 5 other people there - bottle girls - who have been only working there for 6 months.

We have never showed up late for work, do a great job, and many regulars tell us that they are amazed at how fast we can work when it gets busy, and that we're the only reason they even come there in the first place.

Is there any type of actionable lawsuit towards these new owners for removing us without any reason or just cause?

It just seems terribly unfair that we have worked at a job for years, it is now doing very well financially which we have worked towards achieving for many years, and now a new owner steps in takes that from us without any reason whatsoever...?

I thank you in advance for any information or advice. I am not necessarily a fan of becoming more frivolous litigious suits as a culture but this seems like one of those instances where we did nothing wrong and got left in the cold...again, for no reason and/or explanation.

Calfornia is not a right to work state.

You can be fired at will for no apparent reason.

As long as you were not discriminated against on the basis of creed, religion, gender, etc. then you can be fired without reason.

CA is an "at will" employment state

Grace is right. CA is an at will employment state. This article explains it good: Wrongful Termination Lawyers
