Default quick question

A co-worker (supervisor) has increasingly made the work environment unbearable since recently being picked over for a promotion. The supervisor is filing a sexual discrimination lawsuit vs our employer, which is not the problem. The problem is the never ending bad-mouthing, temper trantrums and pressure I'm receiving from the supervisor and spineless followers over the whole mess. It feels like I am working in a very hostile work envirnoment because 'the building of the case' has become everyone's business. It's uncomfortable since it involves a supervisor and even more so since I am the same 'gender' as the supervisor. Long story short, my question is...does this qualify as HWE based on the 'gender' issues and/or involvement of a supervisor .. even though there is no 'sexual' pressure? I work for a government agency & do not want to initiate a legal case against my employer, if avoidable.

Under the theory "hostile work environment" there must be some sort of sexual harassment. You may want to consult an attorney who can review your case to find out if you fall into any other category of harassment.
