Two weeks ago I along with 17 other co-workers were terminated. The reason we we given is that there was a "reduction in work force".
Of the 18 employees effected 17 were over age 40, and 14 of the 17 were over age 50. We all had good performance and attendance records. Several have been with the company for 20-30 years. Should we file an age discrimination lawsuit? |

Like any age discrimination lawsuit it will be difficult to prove that your termination was based on age. Although your statistics will help you out you will want to speak to an attorney who can tell you whether or not he/she believes you have a viable lawsuit.
