Red face My boss said I had to sleep with him

I am a single mother of two and need to work to support my family. My boss told me that the only way i was going to get a promotion was if I slept with him. i need the money but won't consider that option. i would like other options.

Thumbs up Kentucky

Sounds like this boss is a real creep. I think it is text book sexual harrassment and you should sue the pants off him.

Smile Not So Lucky in Kentucky

Curious George is right. Your situation is a text book example of sexual harassment. There are two types of sexual harassment. The first one is called Hostile Environment. This type of harassment occurs when a coworker or employer makes the victim feel uncomfortable in the workplace because of her/his ***.

The second type of sexual harassment, Quid Pro Quo, is the type you have experienced. This occurs when *** is used as a prerequisite for a promotion, raise, etc.

You definately want to report this activity to higher ups, HR or a state or federal agency. You also may want to speak to an attorney regarding your rights in this situation.
