Help Am I Being Discriminated ...legaly?
Hi. I am new to this forum, I hope some one can help me to know if what I am dealing with is truly discrimination. Any advise will be greatly appreciated, so thank you in advance.
I have been a loyal employee to this company for just over 4 years, and throughout my time there I have been skipped over for raises for and I quote my boss word for word." well since you don't have any children and you are not a single mother we think it's best to help the girls who work here who are...It's so hard being a single mother and the owner really has a soft spot for single mothers" I have never recived a raise because of this! My boss said to me today that we had to cut hours, so she cut mine and said we have to give them to the single mothers with the economy being how it is! She took 10 hours off the already prepared schedule. and to make matters worse the "single mother" only started 2 weeks ago and is not even trained properly.
I understand how hard it is for a single mother, but I need to work too, I have been a loyal employee for 4 years!
If anyone could give me some advise I would be eternally greatfull!!! Thank you for taking the time out to read my post.
