Arrow do I fall under Massachusetts new melanie law?

I've been living in FL for 2 years. I had a MA drivers license suspended in NH in 1990 for a DUI. It was reinstated by NH this month, however in 1993 or 1998 I had a 2nd DUI in Mass with no license. I complied with all the paperwork MA wanted from NH so they could release the license. Now they say I need an interlock device on my car before THEY will release it. I live in FL. I want a license here, not in MA. I am told I need to have the device installed here, have FL DMV check it and send something to MA before they will take a hold off my license. Wouldn't this law apply to people convicted AFTER the law goes into affect. I was convicted under the old laws and just never tried to get back my license. I haven't had a license in 16 years! Isn't there a statue of limitations? Also, one paper MA sent said I would need this device if I wanted a MA drivers license. I don't, I want a FL license. I am trynig to find an attorney in MA who can help me with this.

To find an attorney in MA you will need to use a site like this one or contact the local county bar association or state bar association for a direct referral to a Criminal Lawyer experienced with DUI etc.

I agree with legaleagle, you can search online to find an attorney. There are many law firms online and contact them.
