My friend was in an accident with another vehicle. He left and the other driver got the tag #. His car is safe. The only witness was the other driver. Fhp has called his place of work, and stopped by his residence twice. He is staying put in a safe place and needs to know what to do? He needs a lawyer but can't afford one. What should he do? |

If the police are looking for him, there IS no safe place. AND hiding is going to make it worse. Hit and Run is a much more serious offense than driving under suspension, or driving without insurance. etc. The ONLY thing that is happening is that the situation is getting worse by hiding. You said his car is safe--is the OTHER person's car safe? If so, why run? He needs to turn himself in. Was there a reason he did not stop? |
