Transferring of Probation

How can probation be transferred from one state to another? Also, how can a conservator or conservatorship be transferred from one state to another?

The answer to your question as to criminal probation depends on the state you are in. Here in California, where I am, the court have a procedure that involves you being interviewed, and approved, by the new state you intend to move to, and then a motion is filed and served on probation, the prosecutor, and with the court, presenting a written letter from probation in the new state that says they agree to monitor and supervise you, and take you on as part of their caseload, and asking the court to find "good cause" to transfer probation for the reasons you would list in the motion.

When it comes to conservatorship, that is more difficult. In that case, normally you would bring a motion in the new state asking for the court to accept appointment of a new conservator, after you get the permission of the old conservator to move the conservatee out of state (based upon it being in his or her best interests).
