Default Tickets and traffic court

hello all...what do you know about traffic violations, tickets (moving and perking) and about traffic court in general...
my personal question is...if a cop pulls you over and gives you a ticket and it has the wrong liscence number one...yes...one did that to me part of my number is 0003 he wrote 0006
thusly the ticket would logically be void would it not? but the legal system in the usa is really messed up and makes little sence so i wanna know from some ppl who know (or atleast think they know it well enough) to tell me what i should do...
my second question has to do with the same ticket WTF is "improper lane usage" i think i didnt signal when i lane changed or something but thats so pathetic if i have to go to court over that -,-
