US Citizen; married in Italy; annuled in Mexico?

Good morning,

Is anyone familiar with the legality of an annulment document from Mexico?

My (ex?) wife and I are both military and US citizens. While she was in Afghanistan she hired a lawyer to file for annulment of the marriage in Mexico.

It took about 6 months but she eventually received a certified paper from Mexico stating that our marriage was annuled.

Does anybody know how I can determine the legality of this?
