recently got filed with divorce papers from my co-habitating female room-mate that was divorced just prior to our getting together, does anyone know how long you have to be divorced before you can re-marry or claim common law marriage

Are you saying that you were served with divorce papers but you are not even married? I don't understand the question.

We never legally married, she is claiming Oklahoma common law marriage, buy the strictest definition, we would fall in that catorgory, My question is after a divorce, how long do the parties have to wait until they re-marry another person? Thanks for the response
