Question I need Help

Hi,
I'm new at this and I just recently got married, for my child's sake. But I want out, he has put me and my daughter in danger. I want full custody, and he agrees with me. But I don't know how to start up with a divorce or an annulment. Plus I don't have alot of money on hand because I'm a new mother and haven't been able to get a job yet, it's to early. My living conditions aren't very good, and I just need help and don't know where to start. If anyone can help me or get me pointed in the right direction I would appreciate it alot!

Thank you!
Amelia's Mom

Define 'recently'. Days ago? Weeks ago?

There are attorneys who will do uncontested divorces relatively cheaply. Also, you can go to the courthouse in your jurisdiction and ask for procedural advice. They cannot give you legal advice ( clerks, yanno) but they can tell you what forms to fill out and where to file them.

Also, if you are in danger, you have a duty of care (responsibility to your child) to remove yourself from that danger. If it means going to a womens shelter and asking for help, or seeking out help from a local parish or church, you cannot stay in a truly dangerous situation. You could be held liable for any harm that comes to your child if you fail to remove yourself from an allegedly dangerous man.

Good luck.
