Hi,
I'm looking for information on the pro's and con's of legally separating. We have no children together. I'm going to separate from my husband due to emotional abuse to my 16 year old son. We've been married for six years and have a house together...although he built the house four years before we married. He will not consider counseling and so my only alternative is to move out....maybe he will reconsider then. I love my husband but his behavior towards my son is unacceptable and I've let it go on to long. My son told me the other day that he can't take it anymore and if something doesn't change he will have to move back east with his father. I know what I have to do, I just don't want to cut off my nose to spite my face. I'd like to work towards all the family doing counseling but that's really up to my husband whether he'll participate or not, I can't worry about him. Any help would be so appreciated.
