Response to Divorce Complaint
I was recently served a summons for a “Pendente Lite Hearing” scheduled for March 28, 2008, as well as accompanied by a “Complaint for Divorce.” At the current time, I have not heard from any attorney that I have called, but I need to file a response before March 28th. This means that I am in a situation where I need to file a response myself. There are no children involved. I do intend to talk to a lawyer before filing a response, but it would sure speed things up if I could see an example of what a "response to a divorce petition" is suppose to look like. I am in Virginia, but an example from anywhere would be appreciated. Thank you.
